You know, I sort of gave you some mis-information... I was thinking about 95 legacys today because I want one. And remembered that the manual doesn't have EGR. Yours is an auto, so it does have EGR. If you swap that engine, you'll have to deal with the CEL. Even the really smart people on USMB can't figure out how to make that swap completely work. It'll run just fine, just throw an EGR CEL.
How I'd get around that is, swap the intake manifold (which would also fix the evap routing), and the weld a pipe from the header to the EGR thingy on the intake. That's how it works on older chevys, and they also have a flexible hose, so if you could steal that from the junk yard it would be awesome.
