I personally think that we should have a group drive in the winter with snow on the ground. Or better yet during a snowstorm. Ha but yeah I'm new to this website and i don't really know how these group drives work but i think we need one in the winter. anyone agree

?

Maybe the same route as the sept. trip.

please input?

lol most of these guys put their cars away when it rains...good luck getting any sort of nonsunny group drive together.

well AwwSheet will do it..he is hard core. lol he took a lowered GTI into the woods with us in the dead of winter in a blizzard. balls o steel.

I bought an AWD car for a reason. If there was no snow, I'd have something with an LS1.

it's true, i totally would, but i'll only go out with those of you that have REAL experience (ie. won't crash into me)

Also, who here has taken the winter driving seminar at Team O'Neil Rally Driving School in NH? Any good? Is it worth the $400?

Woah, is this Ryan? Did you come on over to the Subaru world now too? I''m still missing my MKV though.

Oh and a winter drive would be great.... Maine is the only reason I'm in a Subaru. My slammed MKV wasn't exactly a practical choice.

nigel and i teach those classes along with Katnips husband. and yes they are worth the 400 bucks,

1-day winter driving course at Team O is something the MS could do (and SHOULD do) as a group...and even learn something in the process. The course builds on ppl's previous winter experience. Show up in an AWD suby with decent winter tires and you will have the most fun in one day you've ever had with the car. The key here is that this happens on closed roads in controlled conditions...what's not to like?

It would take 6 to 8 actual paying customers to get and MS course day together....you'd have to commit to a date, pay up some $ but whoa whoa whoa would youse lads n lassies have a blast. Yes it's $400, but that's not out of line with a day at the Loaf or Sunday River when you factor in lifts, meals, lodging etc.

In 6 years of teaching these winter courses, I;ve found that more smiles get generated per mile than you could ever imagine. This course program builds real driving skills for real winter roads, gains you confidence and changes your outlook towards slippy white roads forever.

these courses are typically booked to the max. do you think they fill up because they suck??!!

Full disclosure: of course I like these courses...I work there. But I wouldn't keep doing the 3.5 hour commute from Maine to northern NH if it wasn't satisfying.

ow about in late December before Christmas. Give input on the starting destination and ending destination. This is for people who actually use the awd in the winter time. Subaru is made for snow. What's the use of a Subaru with out snow. Lets make it happen. I know there are some Sub-e drivers out there that love playing in the snow.

As long as I haven't gone back home to NY for break yet, that would work. Why bother owning a Subi if you don't go out and play?

im out in just about every decent storm sliding around in the standish/gorham/windham area. ill go out sliding with anyone, as long as they dont run into me lol
