April 24 Rochester RallyX

do not panic grasshoppa...loaner helmets are available on site, but limited supply. I also have 2 extra Snells, 1 XL size and 1 small. suggest you coordinate with events orgs re loaners

those DOT helmets are probly snowmobile or ATV stuff, NFG for auto use.

Well....besides the DOT sticker...there is another sticker with a CS12 which i think is the model helmet. Other than that and the brand name on it, there are no other stickers that state anything else.

What you are looking for is one of these stickers inside the helmet (possibly under some of the padding)...

And yes, there are loaner helmets available - but it does make life easier if you bring your own.

I think the M1A1 Leggy might make it out for this event.. HEY KAT!! About that 50 bux!! heh

If you go on youtube and type in rochester NH rallyx, INSKI has some videos online that i found. if its like that, meaning no rocks and all, i have nothing to worry about other than my 18's lol. do you guys think they will be alright? I have to clean them up right now.....but if im going to do that ill wait until after that! input would be nice!
Thanks to Pedro for those vids. I was slow that day, I'm slow everyday.

I went home that day with a big grin, some dry dirt on the wheels, and a new respect for the turbo cars. See, I pride myself on beating at least one turbo car with my NA Impreza. I didn't happen that day.

Chris and Scott had the course stretched out with longer than usual straights and big swoopy turns. It was funner than skinny dippin with Grandma but I just couldn't do much after getting too wild on the first couple runs.

Looks like a lot of fun Inski...but after all this talk, I'm not going to be able to make this event. I have a suprise birthday party that day...don't tell anyone! Have a good time fellas!

im looking forward to returning to rochester! always has been my favorite event. I took my first 1st place finish there last year with my saab in the stock front wheel class. Also great place for some sweet pics! For the newbies the course is normally a smooth flowing course, slaloms down the staight aways of the horse track and fast sweepers through the inside grass area. And Inski, i have proven that it is possible to beat a turbo car with a NA car. i have beaten countless WRX's and a few sti's with my little 1.8 L impreza. and im looking forward to beating them again at this event! i hope to make it a 2nd rochester win!

@Mike, you make me a sad panda for not showing up. I'm gonna hound you all summer till you show up to a rallyx

@jbskidude Sweet pics, and yes, dirt is the great equalizer for beating da turbo cars, I just need to learn how to drive on said dirt.

Sorry Dan. I was a little upset about missing the event while I was happy about the party (lots of mixed emotions). I'll get to one sooner or later but this looked like the best bet for a newbie like myself. Please don't be a sad panda for too long!

I'll get over it while I'm sliding sideways into cones instead of ditches.

NER events don't hit those speeds.
Rochester is nice and soft though.

Very low risk of damage. Probably the smoothest event of the season.
