Alright, This is the place to discuss the upcoming 2008 autocross season. With Storyland only 10 (workable) weekends (including this one) away its time to get moving on the spring projects.

This year, I'm making the jump (or should I say leap) to ESP to join our good friends Gabe and Joel. As much as I'd like to suspension work, its probably just not going to happen this year. But, some long lasting R-comps (most likely Toyo RA-1s) will ib in order. I'll also be doing a proper alignment this season, along with building a new map tuned for a GM BCS. I do also have a new temp exhaust in the works. A few small items here and there such as the TiC Rear Diff bushings and Kartboy Outrigger bushings are going to be added. (You can order yours right at Tin Can Motorsports).

I know of some others that may have some plans in the works..... post them up here....

Now that I have all my weekends back I'M GOING TO DO FUN STUFF ON WEEKENDS!!

I doubt I'll be auto-xing the Subaru although its pretty awesome in stock form...na2.5L, sticky Yokos..maybe, it might happen. Stockers look out!

The Golf is all ready for STS. Just gotta find better tires in my price range. Anyone have CHEAP 14" summers laying around?

Jetta has a long way to go. Coilovers, tires, couple engine leaks, brake lines, exhaust, seats. I could do it all in a weekend if I had the spare dollars.

Planning to try HS with a FWD coupe. 2200 lbs. with 13" wheels!

Add better shocks, some R comps and see what happens.

I'm staying in ESP, figured I'd stay there and lose to Antonio :'(

I'm gonna put a Cobb FSB to match the rear, the 17" wheels I'm gonna be running are way lighter than the ones I had on last year. I'm gonna have a better catless DP set-up than I had last year, but that won't improve performance, it just won't be banging on the crossmember like the last one. I'm sure things will change as the season wears on.

I might get smoked at the begining of the season, but I'm gonna catch Antonio. Mark my words!

You still haven't mentioned the most important ESP legal mod.... R Compounds!

I myself am going the STU route probably. I'll be back on street tires, but with the advances they've made in ST tires lately and wider tires than my rcomps were I dont think i'll notice too much of a difference between them and my older race tires. The extra time i'll get to walk the course and help others out will be nice too.

The biggest decision i have to make is RE01-R, Direzza Z1, RT-615, or Neova

(supposedly there's some new toyo and kumho options coming soon for ST legal nasty rubber).

That's funny i'm having the same dilemma. 8)

For the RS; on top of new rubber i'm planning to put a FSB, end links, front (maybe rear also) strut tower bar, camber bolts for a better alignment, and of course running the AGXs and Prodrive Springs, but topping them with GroupN hats. Still need to find out how wide a tire i can run on stock rims(offset) and still get good camber in the rear. ???.

And of course the Supra is coming! >

I may or may not autox this season .... and if I do, I may or may not have RS brake upgrade with st.steel lines, green stuffs, super blue fluid, and i also may or may not have a set of megan racing coilovers. Who knows what I'll do for rubber. i may find more time to spend money on other things such as exhaust, we shall see >

And my STU plans may have just changed. I'm not looking into the feasibilty of an SM MONSTER >

. More info to come...even if I choose not to compete with it I'll probably have it for sale pretty soon.

It's got 6 stars, 5speeds, 4cylinders, 3 inch exhaust, 2 doors, and 1 turbo. >

Yeah I am pretty psyched, it should really round out the car. Figure I will need it all with ralli crashing the party in ESP. ;D

Why so cryptic agent smith? Hhhhrrmm sounds like a lot more fun than a STU WRX though. Looking forward to seeing what this beast is.
