That is the wrong attitude missy!!! >

Once you learn the limits of the car by gradually trying things as runs go on, you'll be there in no time!

What kind of setup will you have on that machine?
Thanks for the positive motivation. I am going to start driving it as soon as it's done and the roads are not salty. This will give my a little time to adjust back to the size difference and just the overall difference in the cars in general.

The land yacht

will be running with tanabe springs (7.9kg/mm front and 3.7 rear, so hopefully I won't be drifting

) As far as sway bars, they are Suspension Techniques. Also upgraded brake goodies, new steering wheel, etc...some just for fun while we're at it! Want to check them out??.....

I can't wait to see the supra in action

highjack: girl, when are you coming to a rallycross?, end highjack
As soon as the rallycross vehicle is actually able to drive for more than a day without needing to be fixed! :

*wink wink Peter*

This way we don't have to spend more money setting up another car for rally and for autocross. Would just be easier to have one for each!

I'm always nervous trying new things though too...took a lot of convincing from Peter to get me to autocross...and I was so nervous before my first run. But now I'm hooked!! ;D

I did notice the franken-leggy seems to be giving Pete a little bit of a hard time. you can always come to one and ride along >

Thanks!! But if I did that, I would be so teased.

He can come tooo!!!!
right, I can't get him to Rx's anymore. twerp does so much driving and seat time during the week he isn't interested on the weekends.

the weekend before Storyland we will be in rochester, that's close-ish for you guys >

Me too its going to be a lot harder to come up with excuses for being slow. ;D

Also I'm no longer going to be camber/caster challenged and dampened!!! >
default_wink.png

P.S. Those are going to be my new winter springs, summers are going to be a little excessive.

What did you end up getting for a setup? Depending on when a DSpec compatible camber plate becomes available I'll probably be fighting the lack of negative camber still :

GC coilovers (housings, konis, sleeves, and springs) with 650# F and 500# R springs and front topmount camber/caster plates. It'll be harsh and uncomfortable, but I'm looking forward to it. Should be able to get ~4* of neg camber and ~6* caster out of the setup. O0

OMG! Your spring set up last year was really holding you back. This is going to be a whole new ball game.

And I don't like it one bit!

ESP should be a fun class with you, me, and Antonio going at it and of course Bill who seems to go faster at will!!!!

Yes that's a lot for Daily driver setup, I steered clear springs rates that high because I'm a baby, but it'll make it handle like mad!

You may not want that much neg camber depending on the tires you end up running. The struts I got wont work with the RCE plates, which is what I want. There's the whitelines that TIC is modding to work with them that I may end up getting (better than nothing)...but I'd rather have the RCE quality stuff. And since i'm only shooting for -2.5F and -1.5R I should be able to get there with just Double Eccentric bolts and careful tightening sequence.
Hopefully it'll encourage me not to be a pansy and ride my bike a bit more 8). Putting the setup on a month early (weather permitting), so I can decide preseason if the setup is too stiff and get used to it.

Very true, think I'll start ~-3 and go from there. that's a bummer about the RCEs, you know why they are incompatible? If the whiteline plates raise ride height at all I would def put my vote on double bolts and see how it works.

The height gain with the Whitelines is pretty minimal, but the travel reduction isn't something i like really. I've heard the DSpecs run a different size up top than other struts. I was planning on doing the bolts first...see where it gets me and go from there. I'm always on the lookout for the old RCE plates though, since i guess they're the only ones that work with the DSpecs.

I'm going to wait a little longer until i put my suspension bits on too, but i really want to get them on there and start playing around with the adjustments. >

The first events i'm going to have to find the right strut damping, tire pressure, and the right hole on my F&R sways. I better get my TBE and ECU tuning done soon so i have time for the suspension stuff. :

Anyone know where i can get a good wideband 02 and EGT gauge cheap! ;D

Finally someone with a Subaru putting in REAL suspension!!!!! You will have LOTS of fun! The ride wont be as bad as you think it will be.

What are you running for wheels/tires/alignment specs?

Suspension and engine turning... You have more on your plate than I do

. I believe I've found the sweet spot as far as the AVCS tuning goes as well as a non aggressive yet decent fueling map for the 06 w/dp. Let me know if you want them it might help get you headed in the right direction as far as getting power with the stock boost map. There is a lot of power to be had between those two I have actually made my car quicker despite giving up 3-4 (~21->~17) psi of peak boost by working on those.

I don't know if either of those can be put in the cheap category. Innovative is amongst the cheapest for wideband and the LC-1 is integrated (I believe) into RomRaider. I think I have some cheap EGTs bookmarked... I'll look later.

Hahaha thanks. I'm really looking forward to the setup both on and off course.

Wheels will be 17x8s (on the heavyish side ~20lbs) and are currently sporting 225/45 RS2s. Tires will be upgraded to 255/40 or so R-comps at some point hopefully early-mid June. Alignment will start at -3* camber, max caster (~6*), and 2mm toe out in the front and ~-0.5* camber and 0 toe in the back and I'll make adjustments from there once the dampening gets properly set. I am hoping the increase in camber up front will help the car rotate and minimize the need to mess with rear toe and if I run into any issues with rear traction I will probably just add camber bolts to add some rear - camber. Then last but not least I plan on adding sways once everything else is sorted out to finish up stiffening the car and hopefully balancing it.

Uggg I'm writing a book... :
