i wouldn't worry about it too much at the moment. they have the banquet this weekend so im sure that they are all pretty damn busy. if you don't hear back from them in a reasonable time pm jjk i belive on the CMC forums he should be able to help

if it was just me, I agree with who cares, we all know I ain;t gonna place better than dead last, but Al will be running and I'm guessing he might be a little better than me, so I'd better be classed proper and all.
guess I better check the rules (crap my brain hurts already) cause I don't see the back seat going in anytime soon, even tho it should. thanks ralli

I would ask fellow folks in the STX class if it would be alright for you to compete in said class sans the backseat.

I ended up doing this at my first auto-x back in '04. I had just come from a weekend of drag racing at NED and stopped off to do an auto-x in Augusta on my way back to Orono and they let me run STS even though I had taken out my back seat. CMC is a friendly club, the competitors usually will allow some rule bending for your first couple events, but I'd make every effort to try to comply with the rules as if you win the class it's kind of a hollow thing. You've got a month or two to put in the back seat, it doens't have to be fully installed, you can just put enough bolts in it so it's not a safety hazard. O0
And i know you dont think you'll do well so it wont matter but who knows...you might be better than you think! 8)

the lack of backseat is:
1. waiting to get new suspension in.
2. some laziness, in friggin with getting it back in and
3. some convenience, if it's not in, I can just throw muddy gravels in there after racing. if the seat is in they have to be bagged and a blanket put on the seat, blah, blah, blah.
??? ???Ok, its all laziness :
we shall see, I just wanted to be prepared either way.

I am going to be in STX...and I do not mind if you do not have a back seat! I am not going to be very good this year....totally different car to adjust to. Should be interesting...and fun! ;D
