Head on collision coming home from Evergreen tonight

Man that is Horrible. I hope you are ok and I hope your car is repairable. Why does it seem like WRXs, especially the black ones, are magnets for taking damage from other idiot drivers.

saw the thread title never expected it to involve you somehow. good luck man. also check your wrists out, mine's been messed up since my accident. it wasn't sore till a couple days later. you grip that steering wheel and they take a lot of force

Hopefully you do get checked out. Sorry to hear this, accidents are no fun no matter the extent of the damage.

mebbe it's a visibility thang...like the guy didn't see the black car coming? (OK so probly the headlights were on but still...)

perhaps when ryan gets the car repaired he can repaint it nice bright hunter's blaze orange, that'll cure the visibility issue!

anyway ryan, condolences on the crash, get better soon.

Thanks guys. My neck is definitely a bit stiff this morning.

I went to the body shop this afternoon to really get a good look at it. This was actually the first time seeing my engine bay since getting it back from Evergreen

No estimates yet, but the guy at the body shop says the front suspension completely shot. There is absolutely nothing left of my JDM projector and quarter panel either

^This is what I am most worried about now...
if it was not your fault (as it sounds) start digging up recipts and all of your order slips and printouts of everything that you bought on the forums (plus their cost new).

it will be a bit of a fight, but if you walk in prepared, you will be much better off.

it would be a good idea to go over your insurance policy as well.

Man, that sucks...... I had everything ready for the spark plug change ..

Ryan might be the poster boy to get all of us to double-check exclusions on our auto policies regarding replacement of aftermarket parts.

ok, so according to my sister at an unnamed Auburn insurance agency; If the modifications are permanantly affixed to the vehicle, they should be covered in the event of a loss. Something like an XM radio which is removable, is not covered, as it is not "part of the vehicle".

And she also mentioned that if you feel like you aren't getting anywhere with the insurance adjuster and/or company rep, call the Maine Bureau of Insurance and let them know what is going on, and why you, as a consumer, are not being treated fairly.

My sunglasses ($200 worth) were covered in my accident.

granted they were smashed into my face at the time of the accident.

Ok I have found and pulled up my credit card transactions for my JDM Projectors (thank goodness) and some other stuff that got damaged in the accident.

I have Concord General Mutual Insurance, full coverage.

This accident was 100% not my fault and I'm gonna fight to the death and get all my money back.

Thank you for that info Seph!
