a full size spare isn't likely to be needed, the school courses are carefully groomed.

If you're a belt n suspenders guy, maybe bring one summer as a spare, long as its diameter isn't way different from your snows. The donut is really all you need.

If anyone knows of anyone looking for a spot in Saturday's class, I can no longer go. Please PM me if interested.

Thanks,

Jeff (jlow03 on NASIOC)

So we don't need to bring helmets, but should we have our cars emptied? Like AutoX emptied, no floor mats, audio equip, spare tire out, ect? Or just as long as there isn't junk flying around in the car it's ok?

Will there be a place to leave all of our stuff?

Refrigerator to stash lunches or is that what the snowbanks are for?

To AutoX's I usually bring a pop-up tent and camp chairs, will I be needing stuff like that?

yes, you will need to clean cars out--both becasue you'll be sliding around, and also cuz you'll be carrying passengers in back seats. just get car cleaned out inside, you can leave floor mats and spare tires in no prob

there will be space in the school building to store luggage, skis, sub boxes, etc

yes, the skool is civilized, there is a fridge

no need for camp chairs or popup, there's a cabin at the skidpad with gas heater and picture windows to take in the action...tho it's well worth watching from close up to see what other students are doing right (or wrong) so dress for being outdoors.

key item--snug fitting shoes for fancy pedal work, forget wearing sorels or snomo boots etc

Wait, nobody said anything about shlepping other people around......

I.E. making a fool of ones self in front of people other than the instructor.

I had planned on using my AX harness', but they use the back seal mounting points.

Relax, nobody said anything about making fools out of the students.

It's our job to help make y'all look GOOD, ok.

Your stock seat belts will be fine. Over long practice, the school has found that having other students ride along benefits everybody involved, and really helps the driver concentrate on what they're doing...instead of going for max hoonage

(not to mention the fact that extra weight in the back helps traction a lot)

i rarely drive with other people in the car, and i notice the handling difference on the slippery stuff with just a passenger. not so sure how i feel about 3+ people..... it wouldn't be very representative of my normal driving anyway, seeing as i drive solo 99% of the time. in fact it'd probably make me "hoon" it more to compensate for the weight (traction is lame

). but you guys are the instructors

Lol I'm not arguing. Notice I said "you guys are the instructors"... meaning I'm sure they know best

Great pics Chris. I think our boys had a great time. I know mine was smiling from ear to ear. After the last runs of the day I was proud but holy crap i was not ready for that kind of speed sitting in the back seat. The instructors were great. I learned a lot on how to handle my car in the snow.

Yep, looks like any other winter weekend at O' Neils...bloody cold!

Looks like everyone had fun though.

Well, yes...and maybe not.

In defense of MS students, the guilty parties pictured were nabisco peeps.

super slippery conditions...as for MS folks, apollyon12's AX machine was "All Oversteer, All The Time", awsheet was tidy in the new Rex, lawdawg was fighting understeer, the redforester fambly was hooning nicely, and the inski clan was slinging their subies all over the place (some flingage planned, someotherwise!).

thanks for supporting the school, all, hope you took some good stuff home for later benefit.
