Bought it on a whim at the local store.

Turns out it's basically barley wine. Something I'm not a fan of. It's a very drinkable barley wine, but disappointing since I LOVE regular old thumper and assumed this would be a supercharged version of it.

Very good beer my friend introduced me to. It's an ESB, I'm a huge ESB/IPA guy. Bitter beers are my wheelhouse.

Both Baxter's Pale and IPA are good stuff! Interesting to hear about your friend. I'm a fan of both companies, just wish Baxter was a little less pricey.
