i am dying to know what track conditions are like.

forcast says 55 and rain in the later part of the week and saturday 38 and sunday mid to upper 40's

im thinking of bringing the gravels, but if there is still snow on the ground i will leave them at home.

Yeah, Im out.. Im not feeling it this weekend.... Been kind of down lately.. need some alone time I think.. GL all..

guess: gravels after the first run. Mud, slop, more slop, and some slop for good measure. My driveway was frozen solid til today. Now its a quagmire

Have some wicked good fun everyone! 8)

gravels all ready in the trunk of the car.

i will plan on starting late in the pack and let those in front clear the way.

See you bishes there! Prepare to be spanked by me & the 'Rocco! ;D

What a great day!!!

Thanks to Kathy, Scott, and Chris for putting on a great event!

The venue was awesome! The food was great and the course was nice and dirty!

I have some pics of Fellow STMers that I'll post up tonight!

I'll 2nd that post. It was an awesome day. Seemed like a car breaker.. of course the car that everyone thought was going to break did not (lowered WRX with a body kit and Front Mount). I gotta give the kid props.. he came and wanted to do it and didn't care and stuck with it the whole day.. crazy.. but great that he came out.

He had his passenger side up on jacks and he was under it tinkering with something. judging by the looks of his runs i figure he damaged something and was fixing it. maybe he was just taking a precautionary look?

I saw him doing his last run. Eachtime he nosed in and sent a shower of rocks into his FMIC, I cringed.

FMICs are tougher than you think. the fins cushion rock impacts so it's actually pretty hard to damage the air passages bad enough to leak.

now if this kid didn't have a skidplate, it might be pretty easy to hole the FMIC by gouging holes in the bottom edge of the cooler body.

he would have known if the holed the cooler...car would stop running immijitly.

don't ask how I learnt this.... :

...it was an expensive lesson (like, "don't bounce off roadside ledges at 55 mph and expect to keep going...)

ahh that was the other blue bugeye guy. I went down there, he had an oil leak. His skid plate was hitting his oil drain plug and loosening it. Once he tightened it back up his run was over.

I think I have a picture of that

well it was an excellent day of racing for me as well.....

not the results i was hoping to achieve but i can't always judge how well i did by how i placed.

the car held together fine with ZERO problems and even madeit home fine. plan on getting it in the shop to give it the underside look-over soon tho.

race seats get uncomfortable around hour 5 of riding, i have learned.

gave some rides to a few fellow STMers too, Jeremy rode shotgun once and so did Rad. hope i gave a enjoyable ride

probably not...I was talking about Tall Pines 2004 where we hit the rocks BAM, then headlights, grille, bumper bits and who knows what else flies over the hood. We land in the middle of the road, stalled. This is partway thru a bad downhill right AFTER a blind crest.

So there's all this smoke and steam coming out fom the front. Our chimes just got rung big-time and we're kind of dazed and "Tweet-tweet-tweet." It was like "You OK??!! Yeh, I'm OK, are you OK?? " Then reality kicks in--we are in a BAD position here. J tries to start the car, it'll barely turn over.

"JOHN!! start the car and get it out of the road!!

"Dave!!! The car won't run. GET OUT AND GET THAT TRIANGLE UP THE ROAD!!!"

So I did, and was able to keep oncoming rally traffic from creaming us.

FMIC piping was torn off (as was most of the left from suspension), so clearly that car was going nowhere except with a wrecker. The Spearco itself, fortunatley, was fine and despite a couple dients n dings survived to do many more rallies.
