The Official MS Bike Talk Thread - motors need not apply

I'm out... the kiddo was up multiple times last night and then the VM system at work pooped and had to be rebooted bright & early this morning.

Dragging arse.

I am still in. Which I had today off, it is gorgeous out now...

My buddy Ryan is coming along again. If we can do earlier that would be better?

shag? Jim?

I can go at 5:30. I'd love to go earlier, but the Empire requires my service until 5-ish.

I'm in a mellow ride mood- hope that will be ok.

MB- you should try the Beltran plan. You'd be recovered in no time!http://www.bicycle.net/2008/liquigas-tour-expulsion-beltran-positive

So 5:30 @ Hinckley?

I'm injured

Hurt my knee while backpacking in the whites. Hopefully i'll be able to join in on a ride soon but doesn't look good for a while. This is the one I had a torn meniscus in a few years back.

Ouch... Take care of that knee.. And I am complaining about the little scratch I go on mine yesterday. Although it looked cool with the blood running down my knee, much worse than it actually was...

Wow, felt like a smoker running a marathon. Time to work on the endurance. :crybaby2:

Appreciated the patience guys.

No worries - you were looking good while you were with us. Now to put some miles on that bike (and your shoes/pedals) and you're gonna be mean in the woods.

If it makes you feel any better, I JUST got home from the ride. It was epic.

Now must pound water and stretch so that I'm not locked in the fetal position tomorrow morning

Good to meet you! Your legacy put mine to shame! I hope you had fun- see you out there again soon.

I need exercise. I would like to join. I have no bike. :crybaby2:
Bath cycle in woolich has some used stuff that's pretty nice if you're in the market. Most of the local shops are pretty good too. You can always come to the ride and say hi- especially if you bring beer

Great ride last night. Lots of fun!

sub, a few rides and you will be right with us.

last night was great, longer than what I was thinking, but all good, this morning was tough on the ice, legs were a bit slow, till I stretched them out.. Now I plan to sit at my desk all day and think about Friday.

Anyone want to ride Thursday nite or Friday DAY. Yes Day, I am taking it off.

I would kill myself at that park. Looks neat, but doubt I would ever go. Sunday River to me, is more my style... Hitch a ride up the mountain, and enjoy the fast downhills.

Hey, all - here's that "Highland Park" I was talking about last night...link goes to their "inventory" of crazy crap to break limbs on. If I were to go, I'd have to rent a bike there, 'cause I'm not sure mine would appreciate the thrashing.

Anyone have any experience on shiat like this?

Eeek! That is some crazy freeride stuff right there. Reminds me of the vids on the Marzocchi site http://marzocchi.com/Template/listSPAVideoMTB.asp?IDFolder=193&LN=UK&Sito=mtb

I'm more XC than freeride. I like climbing, pain, and the occasional puddle of vomit.
