The Official MS Bike Talk Thread - motors need not apply

I'll be at Reid State Park Sat at 10am if anyone feels like making the hike to GTown. 6.5Mi loop- lotta fun. Blue wagon with a white Kona on the roof.

At Bradbury on Labor Day Monday at noon. Come along if you'd like....

No dice on mountain biking for me. My back is still borked. Spinning on the road is ok but I could feel it when I got out of the saddle on some lil' hills. Mountain biking would be a bad idea.

Myself and the same two noobs from Bradbury last week are trying the Pride's corner trail tomorrow. I live 1.3 miles from the trailhead, so we'll ride from my complex. Meet at 5PM, depart by 5:15 so as to not lose the sun. All are welcome.

I can't make it until 5:30/45, but I'd love to join if you head out later. Which trailhead are you leaving from? The church?

Yeah, headed out from the church on Pride Street. I don't think we can go much (as in any) later, cause one of the guys has a newborn daughter at home. Only so much time allowed out of the house, you know? There are a couple of road crossings - maybe you can meet us at one of those?

A change of plan! Now rolling out at 5:45 from my house, will be at the church at 5:50. Evidently my boy's kitchen pass is good for later than we all thought. Does that make it easier on you?

It does! I'm kind of a dope though- my bike will be in the shop tomorrow. I'm having the new frame built up.

Thanks for changing plans so I could make it. Sorry for spacing out!

No worries. Besides, if you're advanced enough to buy a frame and have it built up to suit, you'd be riding circles around us ;D

Yer Kona frame is the hawtness... I'd buy it... but my wife would strangle me for buying ANOTHER bike... It's tempting though cuz it has rear disc tabs. Hmmm... 2" too big though

just caught up on this thread from mid-May (?????). I have a flat on my road bike which I've been lazy about fixing. My road and mountain bikes are in my ex-neighbor's garage; I guess I could retrieve them, but there's nowhere to store at this apartment. I can't even imagine living in this condo on a permanent basis...

I think I will retrieve my mountain bike and do a Cape/SoPo ride by Saturday.

Saturday morning work for anyone?

I may be up for a MTB ride saturday AM ride... I really need to put in some road miles though.... doing a Kangamangus ride in early October... eech.

Aaron, what are you riding now? Do you still have that V-bike from the bike swap (3ish years ago?)

Rage Tues night ride this week is Hinkley/Robinson at 5:30 from the main lot. Bring your lights if you come- it'll get dark!

still the same bike, Ted. Still like it!

I have class Tuesday nights... Topics in IS Management. Woo!

Grrr, wedding in Massachusetts...that's TWO things that suck. On a related note, wifey has decided to drive because the combination of my temper, the rex turbo, and Massachusetts drivers isn't a good one

Riding the Urban Assault Sunday morning early (8AM start on Powsland Street in Portland) if anyone's interested.

I saw, what I think was, the ShagginWagon in the Bradbury parking lot on Saturday... Blue leggy GT wagon w/ bike mounts on the roof rack??
