This arrived from the UK today!!!! FireEye Shortfuse 380

380mm chainstay (that is really short)

BMX bottom bracket

horizontal dropouts with ASP tensioners

I should have it built by next weekend.

Does anyone ride park/urban in Portland?

Does anyone want to ride to RYE or Highland?

I have been bikeless for 4 years! I used to ride a Giant DH Comp at Sunday River almost every weekend from 2001-2004. I also had an Evil Imperial like the day they came out in 2002. I rode park/DJ/urban on that heavy beast until I sold it in 2006. I am so excited to start riding again.
I would like to hit Highland. I've been putting it off for too long.

This thread has been quiet. Now I roll my NRS with a trailer. Daughter and I stroll down the Eastern trail, extent of my riding this summer.

i stopped riding when it got wicked hot. now i have a back injury and being hunched over on the road bike is out of the question. been toying with the idea of selling/trading my ironhorse mtb, went on 2 rides all summer with it..

I've been riding like crazy (well, as much as one can do with 2 kids) because the Bradbury Twelve is this saturday then I have the 100mi Dempsey Challenge on Oct 3. Ugh.

I sold my K2

Yeah... rode the B12 in the Solo Singlespeed class for some foolish reason. Just kept on riding... 10 laps (80 miles). Finished 11th out of 17. Not shabby for a first time solo and my 3rd ride on a single speed. Learned a lot about nutrition, hydration & motivation so if I decide to foolishly do it again next year, hopefully I won't tank near the end.

Inski, see you on the Dempsey route this sunday. I'm doing the 100 miler along with Lawdawg & 1899 other riders. Gonna be COLD!!!

If anyone would like to make a donation please follow this link:

Thanks!!

I'll be at the Dempsey as well- filling in for a buddy with a busted knee. He can't remember whether he signed up for the 50- or 100-miler. Guess we'll see!

See you up there!

Cool! I'll see you in Casco/Naples.

I'll put some sort of Subaru item out so you know you're in the Mainely Subaru Fans Of Dempsey Challenge rootin section as you roll by.

That was some sweet looking Subie item you put out!! When i saw the black leggy w/ black wheel I said... must be Inski's!! haha!

Your road was the best part of the course... freshly paved, no traffic, and no monster hills!

Ted - which route did you end up doing?? 50 or 100?

I rode the 50. Perfect distance for doing it off the couch. I probably could have hung in for 6-7 hours to knock out the hundred, but it wouldn't have been pretty. Sorry to miss the Scooby guys!

I was looking for you up there Mike, but I staged off the back. I bet you were way up front.

Saw Levi at the 25mi rest stop. Really quiet guy, very unassuming. Total stud.

i could've done the 50 easily... the 100 was a 'challenge'. I started pretty close to the front and we blew by a ton of peeps to start. Passed Horner & Leipheimer but I think they flew by when we were at the 2nd rest stop.

Finished in 5hr 43min which was good for getting dropped multiple times. Next year I should be in better shape... I hope.

When I finished, my first thought was that I could have done the century, but I was glad I didn't have to. I was pretty slow up some of those hills. Of course, I didn't train for it either....
