mine is 30+ years newer and doesn't look that good.

Started the resto on my 303 Enfield. Just need to oil the wood and re-assemble.

I'll be in Brownfield with the boys Sunday. We have a new-used Wingmaster to try out and a Savage that's getting closer to that elusive "tight group" area. Hopefully I remember the targets this time.

Anyone know any Scarborough club members? We're looking for any service rifle matches. I've heard they have them at Scarborough occasionally. I'd like to get in on one of those before the season is over.

does anyone here shoot @ windham/gorham rod and gun? I am a member at york county, but just moved, and now its a long drive for me... so I don't really go anymore.

But the windham/gorham club is real close, and I assume I will need a sponsor?

let me know if you ever want to go trap shooting....
Yes! I haven't done it since I was 12years old. Lets do it end of Sept or any time Oct. Walmart Windham has a sale on clays, 9bucks. We killed a box today. Mostly with the rifles out to 100yards.

We tried the Wingmaster today. Works great, some ejections were a bit rough but nothing hung us too much. We shot 2 boxes of shells. I threw (by hand) a few clays for the kid. He got the first one. Missed the next 2, then got the next 5. Oldest kid likes the shot gun. He hasn't shot since he was 10 or 12. Then we had him try the rifles. He did alright with the big ones, outstanding with the .30carbine and 10/22. I took the red dot off the .30carb and put in on the 10/22. Seems like a better combo on the 10/22.

Thinking about another semi-auto plinker. I want to avoid .223 Maybe a 9mm shorty type rifle? Must be in between .22LR and .223 as far as short range thump goes. I like the .30Carbine, but I want something with side ejection, something without much kick, similar kick to .30carb is ok. And ammo much be cheap, easily obtained, common.

Any suggestions?

the beretta CX4 storm is an interesting carbine. I shot one at Manchester a while ago. it takes elongated 92fs mags and is 9mm. the price isn't too bad either.

well I found out that my Grandfather trainied with an M1 back when he was in the Navy. So I guess now I am on the look out for one. He said it was long, so I don't know if it was the carbine or not.
