The unofficial GUN talk thread

I would sell extra with the gun.

But sorry, I'm not looking to just get rid of any.

Ammo is definitely getting easier to find and cheaper to buy. Got 260 rds of .223 from Sportsmans Guide for $117 with free shipping. And Wal Mart has been well stocked every time I've gone in the past couple months. The only thing that is still hard to get is .22LR Which I'd love to get a brick of, but I refuse to pay the insane prices they go for now.

That is still insane money for .223, compared to before this gun grabbin' and speculatory restriction lunacy. 3-4x what I used to pay, and far above normal inflation.

Now that the industry knows the public will pay that kind of coin, I don't think we'll ever see $0.08-$0.15/round (new brass) ever again. *sadface*

Yeah it's still high, but cheaper than I can get anywhere else. I can get steel casing cheap as hell, but my AR doesn't seem to like it much. On that note, I have about 150 rds of steel casing .223 for sale!

Where the hell were you getting brass case ammo for $2-$3 a box? That's less then steel case pricing.

American eagle 55gr fmj 20rnd packs and regular Federal 55gr fmj 100 rd packs both brass used to go on sale all the time ~2008-2011 in that range. I kept an eye on sales and stocked up whenever they happened. Works great in my rig. Never a missed feed or fire. Stopped plinking to save what I have left when prices went through the roof because I think the extortion has become a bit extreme.

Oh, and to answer the where -cabelas, walmart, beans, online. Wherever had the best deal.

Yah I had a couple thousand rounds stock... then I shot a three day class. Needing the prices to come back down. I bought it cheap, but it kills me to shoot it knowing what it will cost to replace it.

Somebody better tell Jamie that 9mm is back.  He's made 10 rds last all winter.

summer
Lol. I have a lot of that now too. They've had that at Wal Mart every time I've gone. My sister bought a 100 rd box for $25 yesterday. .40 was still a little hard to come across, but even that's been there the last couple times I've been now. They've had a lot of Tula 7.62x39. I've stocked up on that for the SKS, and it's the cheapest ammo they have.

hey guys, was just thinking about this a little but id like to allow you to sell your firearms here. I take no responsibility in whom you sell to so be careful and take the necessary steps to cover your ass!!!  Happy selling

Cool Matt.  Previously we were just selling to each other anyways.  Most of us have a lot of history here and we know each other. And, most of us have concealed carry permits which is a sh!t ton more investigative back ground check than the NCIS firearm sale back ground check.  But yeah, I agree, when in doubt cover yo ass,  do an actual FFL transfer when in doubt.

Traded a bare bones Bushy ORC for a Para Warthog with 3 mags, 700 rds, a couple holsters, ammo box, oh,yeah,  and a running driving 1991 Arctic Cat EXT 530 with reverse in great shape.....  How'd I do????  Hahaha....
