oh that was a fun year in the pic of the general. HR Radness and I did a Bill Greens Maine spot for that year and it aired on channel 2.

i have the video someplace..i need to upload it somewhere.

Bratman if you don't want to run her to know you ran yer purdy new XT...just don't tell her. Forgiveness is sooo much easier than permission

I know Chris Jensen, JR, and a couple of other folks. I had the silver legacy SS with big red mudflaps the year you were there spectating

Mud at Union. Never!

Someone needs to post some pictures from the first year we ran there.

Yeah I'm not too worried about it:lol:

I'm pretty sure I remember your car too.

I too am thinking of running this as my first event...in the battle wagon! the only problem is that its a automatic....it should still be fun though.... and like i've read down through the thread.. its really soft eh! that's good!

Eh, RallyJeep's a slushbox, but still a lot of fun.

WRC cars run "automated sequential gearboxes" that are basically megadollar glorified auto trannies.

actually, the electronically controlled center diff in the Suby 4EAT has really good lockup characteristics in low-grip situations....offering more effective AWD than the mechanical ctr diff in a 5MT version.

I don't really know how soon the car's going to be done, I'm definatly still going with our without a car. If there are any ride along's open let me know.

There's always people willing to give ride alongs, and if you register for the fun day, you can just drive a different persons car each run. Heh.

Some of you are probably wondering why the entry form for Union hasn't been posted. Well, here's the story.

The Board of Directors at the Fairgrounds that we've been working with for years has gotten greedy. Despite our helping to keep them from closing their doors permanantly a few years ago, no good deed goes unpunished.

This year, we were told that rent was increased significantly. Not only that, but we would not be allowed to use the horse track as we have in the past. This would really make it hard to design a worthwhile course. I want people to feel that an event is worth the time, distance and expense. This wouldn't be. I guess the Fairgrounds would rather their field sit empty then work wth us. Maybe they will realize their mistake for next year. We'll see.

Bottom line, I have approached Rochester Fairgrounds about that weekend. This week is their fair so I don't expect an answer until next week. I will keep you informed when something comes together.

Chris
