Welcome to the new forums

The whole "view new content" thing sucks. It's just a crappy RSS feed that doesn't keep track of what I have and haven't seen.

The old forum had the "whats new" button which showed you unread threads where you could click to pick up threads where you left off.

Other then that, everything else is fine.

 
only issue im having is finding the user cp/settings that showed updates on threads you've posted in. other then that, pretty nice work guys!

 
Same as the old one, but no one used it. If someone helped you out or you like their post, give them some rep. If you think their post was crappy and annoying, give them negative rep.

Post time is fixed, tapatalk will be added.

I just need to get the layout complete and then i will work on other functionality to get it to work the way it was. Remember NO ONE liked Vb4. IPB is a HUGE improvement once its tweaked to our liking. Keep the goo and bad comments coming on how you want it to function and what you would like added.

 
sorry but am not seeing all the new functionality

when I click "new content" button it just shows recent posts since last visit, unlike older site which showed new posts in bold, older ones in normal type. this was easy to track what's going on.

date of posts is not visible, wtf how is this new format better

do I have to reset all my signature settings, tracking posts etc etc

did I mention am NOT a fan of new format, what exactly was wrong with the old one?

OK OK will try to be patient as new stuff gets worked out, but still...

For the new content you need to go to "my settings" and at the bottom change it to "view new content I have not read"

I tried to pm you but I don`t think it went thru because I think my pm`s are maxed out. How do you reset ? Also I do not have the PM this member and Add as a friend buttons ? HELP

I love this new forum. This one actually loads, first time, every time, the other one I would have to try multiple times to load the page.

PM's are now called "Conversations" I lowered the amount of conversations you can have so you may be over your limit. You will need to click the down arrow next to your name, click "messenger". Your quota is represented by a bar on the left. Your number of conversations is above that. On the right you will see all your conversations or as they once were "PM's"

As for adding a member as a friend, click their name and you will be brought to their profile. On the left you will see all the options including, add as friend, send message, find content etc. You no longer need to approve friends. When you add them, they will automatically be added unless you change the setting in "My Settings"

Click the down arrow next to your name and choose "My Content". This will show you all threads you have posted in with the most recent at the top.
