Maybe this has already been covered, but maybe not. And other's probably have this problem.
The only issue I'm having is that the forum won't send me an email notification on threads I'm subscribed to that have updated. And I can't seem to find anything in the settings to fix it. Nor can I find any link on the forum that will give me a list of subscribed threads that have updated since I've last been on the forum.
Other than that issue, it looks great!! I've migrated forums before and it's no easy task, it's going really smooth, good job!!

ok if you click on your name on the top right there is an option for "my content"
that will bring you to your subscribed threads. It will show them all, but the threads with new posts will be bold
now for the email subscription thing: Same drop down on the top right of your screen. There will be a place that says "my settings" in there there will be forum settings, Mine were set to not subscribe me to anything that I reply to (not the way it was on the old site). You may at this point need to go in and reset your subscription status on the threads that you want to email you with updates.
I hope this helps your problem. New forum software is always acoompanied by an adjustment period. I hope that this new software works better for all of you than the vbulletin junk did. I can already see the light from my end.
and for new content hit the "View new content" button on the right side below the top bar. It is pretty nice and shows you everything you missed since your last visit. I missed this feature from the old STM software. I basically always used that to keep ontop of everything. And you can refresh the page when you are there or set that as your default unlike vbulletin.

One thing though... My birthday somehow changed itself ... Weird. I'm four months and six days older than depicted in my profile.
And yes, this software is much better. I've never used this one, actually. But it's fairly similar to PHPbb, actually. I have always disliked vBulliten.
