'04 Forester XT!!

I can do analogue car wiring really well. But when it gets to the digital stuff it starts taking me a bit to figure it out.

Funny, because with computers it's the exact opposite.. Most of what gets me with car wiring is the plug names/identification.

Thanks! Not too bad. There are definitely a few things I'd like to change, but it just isn't happening right now!

I don't. Things are coming together rather nicely! I couldn't be more proud of you!! You are, without a doubt, the most persevering Subaru enthusiast that I've ever come across.

DCCDPro is installed and working! Chris is the man!! He came over and helped me A LOT!! The only issue we had was that my LED on the auto/man switch doesn't work, and the thumbwheel was wired backwards, oh, and a run in with the cops lol. I guess someone called and said we were doing "power turns" in the intersection. All we were doing was testing to see if it worked, and we were basically at idle lol. He let me go and told me to go home so the neighbors don't SHE DOG anymore. So all is good, just hoping to get the LED working in the switch. Thanks again Chris!

You're welcome!

Weird their wiring diagram was backwards.... At least I had the trusty fluke meter with me!

I asked Jeff at DCCDPro about the issues and he replied with this....

"The new motherboards have a jumper switch to use when you change over to the STi switches...switch that jumper over to the STi setting and the led should work fine.

The black wire is a 12v source for the switch, but with the jumper to the right there is very little power coming out so as not to blow up the led in the "Original" switch.

And I'm guessing you somehow got a used JDM thumbwheel...the JDM ones are backwards to ours and as you found out they can be fixed by switching the red and green wires in the thumbwheel wiring.

All these tips are in the new install guides/troubleshooting guides I uploaded this afternoon.

I'm currently updating a pile of stuff to reflect minor changes to the product over the last couple months."

So that explains both issues. Chris and I had already switched the wires for the thumbwheel, and I just went out and fixed the light issue, and now it works!!! Pretty damn successful I'd say! And it wasn't nearly as bad as either of us thought it was going to be!!

wow!!! What customer service!! That's awesome Jason! What a great review for them. I mean not only that, but here it is, Saturday NIGHT and you got a reply back from them!! Incredible!

Yeah he has been great since the beginning. From upgraded free shipping, to replying to all of my questions, and doing it VERY quickly!! This is how all companies should treat their customers!!

Just ordered..........these

Hopefully this takes away the clunking issue I have been having. Seems a lot of people say this is the solution to the problem. Cheap upgrade anyway!
