Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

^Yeah I hate how this game doesn't have dedicated servers.... stupidest thing ever.
This might be a newb question, but how do you know if you are hosting the game? Or who is hosting the game?

How we figure it out is, pull up the scoreboard right as the map loads and before the countdown starts. You'll see peoples quality connection on this page. Most peoples pings will BLOW except for the one dude who is host who will be full green, after a second or two they all start to come up as the connection gets better to host / stuff loads / everyone syncs up, etc.

 
cod7 coming out in like november, supposed to be vietnam era. anyone else really excited about this?

 
oh lame, i thought it was IW. i know cod8 is slated for some other maker. that blows. i love the idea of a vietnam game. is there any other successful nam era fps? now that i've discovered i can be decent at this i want to cover my bases.

 
well that's exciting. I'll buy a Nam era game.

Any more rumors about the "pay to play online" crap that was going around? I mean, I liked the game, and online is fun and all, but I seriously doubt I'll buy an online pass. Especially for the 3 different players I have at home.

 
ps3 is free. i had a 360 and paid to play, but since moving to ps3 with free online it would be tough to start paying again if they introduced it. however i do believe in supporting something like that IF they recipricate with putting money in to keep it running perfectly, and updates here and there to keep showing they are dedicated to the game. your 50 bucks is nice and all, but that pays so many different levels of who made the game, not what happens to it after it's released.

 
heh, just as i'm learning the current maps. but i am excited to be put more on an even playing field.

Under your profile settings (xbox), you can change mic settings to friends only. That's what some of my friends do. I haven't played in a few months, but myself/roomate/friends make fun of the British/12 year olds or debate people about random thing, pretend to be girls, or other retarded nonsense. Xbox live, it's all about the social.

 
im refusing to buy the maps. there is a big uproar abotu how expensive it is so im gonan give it a few weeks and see if they lower it to 10 bucks

 
they wont lower it. they have no reason to. 3/4 of the people will buy the pack on the first day it comes out.

the modern warfare 1 map pack is still the same price, as the day it was released.

 
I play on PS3 and the kids that play are like 10 and they are so stupid they sing on the mics and stuff its soooo annoying so i call them names hehe. They shouldn't be playing a hardcore game like that anyway.

 
ok so i caved inc ause i had the day to myself yesterday and bought it. im so weak but i do have to say the new maps rock!!

Same. And turn off the vibration feed back. Sensitivity to high.

Two birds with one stone (javelin) yesterday. I was pretty excited.

Fav at this time is Skidrow. Least fav is Highrise.
