das GL!

I wish people would pull over for me. Being a kid I really don't want to have someone complain to the police about me, so no horn-laying allowed.
Well, your car isn't scary looking enough for people to pull over for you

And about driving like little but of an ass sometimes (and we all do it... even if you say you don't

) You live in Yarmouth and I live in the sticks. So you're more likely to get some yuppie to call the cops on you than I am

And I'm not that much older than you... I just turned 20 in the beginning of month. Actually, half the payment of this car was my birthday present

I have to admit though, the cops are real cool about waving back at me when I'm driving 40 in a 25

. He was in his jeep though, so I don't think he cared enough to try to get me to pull over in his jeep (I don't legally have to).

You should!!!! Hurry up and get back already!!! I'm gonna need help putting on the new ______ that Gabe is bringing me!! LOL Whats next to do on the GL?? Anything?

I think when i get back I'm goint to chatge the oil in the engine and flush the tranny. then make those 15 degree lift blocks.

other than that there isn't really anything wrong with it.

then wo have to go offroding!!

Went to a car graveyard today.

Found a bunch of 2nd gen legacys, some 1st gen, and a bunch of 1st gen imprezas. Even an OBS that died in a fire...

I forgot to bring tools .... GRRRR. so I'll go back with tools later.

But I also found a 90's loyale with ea82 and FI. And a GL with ea82 and carb.

I'm gonna grab the coolant temp sensor off the FI one because I think mine might be what's causing a low reading and occasional strange idle.

Also it has a good ignition cylinder AND key. So I'm gonna grab that.

Jason: The intake pipe on the FI one is in perfect condition except the subaru FI logo. Other than that, no cracking. I can grab it for you to replace the cracked one on the brat. Also, both ea82s have a good looking radiator, I could pull one if you wanted. And any other part you may need.

Oh, and I grabbed you an ej22 legacy dip stick.

And there are no battery tie downs on any of the cars

And no rear disk brakes on the old subarus, but I'm not overly surprised.

Well that's a lot cheaper than new!!! Are they in good condition?? If so grab me one, and I'll pay you back.
I didn't look to hard because I didn't have tools besides my Victorinox multi-tool to get anything apart. But they look alright. No corrosion or anything as far as I could see. I'll be back this weekend or on Monday with tools so I can pull some other stuff apart, and I'll inspect better then with a flashlight, etc.

And holy lack of clearance with the ea82!! The ea82 cars are so much better with an ea81 in them ... Does the rad have to drop out the bottom?

No, you may have to take the clutch fan off. Pry bar to hold the pulley in place from the back, and a 10mm wrench. Yeah those clutch fans suck!!!

I'll bring along a hacksaw, BFH, and some destructive tools as well... I can only imagine an ea82 car in a junk yard is in there because the ea82...

Most likely the rust is why they are there!! I bet if you put a battery in it, it would start!!

I shall be home very late at night in exactly one week. I can't wait to go for a spin!

Haha, isn't it weird how even as loud and noisy, and rumbly these old cars are, we still look forward to driving them again!!!

Back in Maine! somehow... party until pretty late/early? (When does it change from late to early? sun up?), 4 hours of sleep, my GF's graduation, then an 8 hour drive and I'm home and somehow alive! Sleepy time now... Good news is though, more pics of the car to come!
