das GL!

It sounds awesome. haha. annoys the crap out of me.

I'll probably weld it this weekend. My inspection is due this month...

I know this guy who loves to build exhaust!!! hahaha gotta drive to sopo though :-/
I find welding exhaust rather miserable. haha. I'm glad someone likes doing it! Fortunately it's on a nice straight section so I can just cut the middle out and weld some new pipe in.

So every time I think about getting a speedo cable to make the speedo work, I think about how grotesquely off the speedo will be. I used an online thing that takes your stock tire size and new tire size and says how much off it'll be. It would read 60 when I was going 67. So that's pretty useless. But currently I'm working on converting from the auto dash with the PRND12 thing to one that has the 4WD light, LO range light, etc. Anyway, I got bored so I took apart the speedo unit to see how easy it would be to modify the spring to let me have it read the correct speed. And it really isn't to hard, I've taken speedos apart before for bikes and stuff to modify the springs and this one is pretty easy. Now all I need to get is a speedo cable ... heh. The other option would be to saw groves into the inner magnetic ring to make it less magnetic ... but that's risky because they're delicate... anyway, should be some interesting pics if I ever find a speedo cable for less than $70 new.

So did you find a d/r dash out of another car?
The one I got out of your white parts car has the LO range light in it. I guess all the sticks got the same dash. Everything is the same except the middle section that has all the transmission stuff, open doors, etc. So it's very swappable. I just need to wire up a harness so I have the 4wd and lo lights, etc. The wiring really doesn't look that bad.

I'll keep ya updated. I'm still on the search for a speedo cable. But I guess I can start on the wiring. Drag racing tomorrow, and a frisbee game Sunday, but should have some time in there to work on it.

So I went out today, got stuck in mud, used my come-along to haul myself out. Had a rear wheel, and opposite front wheel off the ground at the same time. Had an epic time. But nobody to wheel with, and nobody to take pictures or videos... Needs to be an offroading meet... I think I know a good location, we just need to get together a good time for people.

Sounds awesome!!! I love getting tires in the air. You need to get a welded rear diff!!! Then that would never get you stuck. You also have take a camera and get out and take pics!!!

Ya... my camera was (and still is) sitting at home on my desk. Real useful, huh?

Not sure about a welded diff, but an LSD would be awesome!!

Haha yeah me too, remember in your driveway!!
yes... and next time I will NOT lose to an axle. They'd come off if I REALLY tired. I could pull a front axle and do a clutch dump in forward and reverse a few times would probably loosen it up, torch it and spray PB at the stub would help, etc. Hopefully they don't have to come off though.

If you ever have to take them off, make sure you clean and lube them well before you put them back on

I also forgot to mention.... A tree was a little lower than I thought and I broke the back roof rack.... oops. I'll have to fabricate a new clip thingy for that. haha

Yea, fortunately it's an easy fix. Cured me of wanting to put lights on the roof though.

Haha, yep, that's why the ones on the Brat were caged in!!! The bumper is a good spot for them. You should grab them ones from Fozzy!!
