Head on collision coming home from Evergreen tonight

^Possibly. I had to pay off the bank loan first, obviously. I have like 9 months left on the loan... at least I won't have a payment anymore.
Sounds like a hell of a lot better then what they said at first!!! Glad it worked out for you!

That car is def worth more then the $800 so not too bad.

Corey would def be able to do the repairs at a VERY FAIR RATE ( He is a Pro and can def do the BEST WORK! and since he is a friend he will do it CHEAP) if you needed some help... It doesn't look all that bad either so now that your car is paid off and you have an $800 winter beater what are you going to get for a daily driver???

he'll probably drive an $800 winter beater daily

. Thank you for all your advice too Pat, it really helped out!

I considered having the repairs done cheaper by Corey, but since my Dad has a say in all of this (helps me out with payments since I'm still in college), he wanted the repairs to be done asap since it was already sitting at Seacoast. At this point, I have such a headache over all of this, with finals coming up for me, I just want it DONE!!! Seacoast has also been nothing but supportive and good to us through this whole process. I'm certain I'll be able to get it fixed for cheap since I'll get the parts at EG, and Seacoast telling me that they are going to help me out as much as possible and not nickle and dime me to death.

they painted the 18's that are on the fozzy right now i have had them do a bunch of work on my stuff also

Well its good to hear that the Car will be back on the road. Sorry to hear that it will have a salvage title though, but hey, you planned on driving it in to the ground or at least until it wears out anyway right?

Right. Never had any plans to sell it. I absolutely need this car for commuting to school, especially next semester driving to Gorham 4 days a week!

So Seacoast gave me a new estimate today, with no "hidden" damage found, thank god!. $6500 compared to the appraisers $8000. That is such BS! And don't forget, subtract 15% from that $6500 for parts from EG, and I'm already easily under $6000 for repairs. When this is all said and done, I might actually benefit from it all, which I never thought was possible. Since it is a salvage title now, I obviously had to pay off my loan off first (about $2500 left). So after paying that off, and getting the repairs done, I could quite possibly walk away with a paid off car loan, and a car that's in the same condition before the wreck, with no money out of my pocket (except for the depreciated value due to salvage title, but not a big deal to me).

Will keep you all updated. Thanks for all the info from everyone.

I love happy endings, and not the kind you get at a shady massage parlor.... though that might not always be a bad thing, lol.

sounds like a pretty workable outcome from what could have been a Very Big Mess.

best of luck to the guys rebuilding your car, you DID tell em to be extra particular, din'tcha?

Glad to hear you got the negotiation all worked out! that's great!

Here's to a speedy and un-eventful repair!

corey told me it looks like 2500-3k in parts... He gets a discount on all parts(since he works for a dealer...) It might be worth having him buy all the parts and get them at half the price and then have them repair it.

Also if it is repaired and then shown to a state trooper (does inspections of rebuilts.. i think that is who does the inspection) the car will come out with a clean rebuilt title rather then a slavage and be worth more in the end. LOOK INTO THAT! That cost of 6500 is high! You need upper aprons, rad support, radiator bumper beam and crinkle zones, bumper cover and foam, fender, hood, light, light bracket... I would stay away from buying new fender liner s and crap. I think you should be able to get it repaire for well under 5k and def closer to 4.5k.

I have seen some cars repaired by Corey. My friends mustang was 12k in repairs... with his cost on parts its only 3.5k plus his labor (said total is going to be 5-6k.) for this....

Pat I can't thank you and Corey enough for all of the support. I would have gone to Corey if I wasn't already involved with Seacoast. They've just been so good to me over the years, and I told them from the start that I was going to get it repaired with them whatever the outcome (total loss or not). I spoke with the owner directly and he's willing to help me out with price as much as possible. I'm not doubting at all that Corey does fantastic work, but with my pops having a say in all of this, and the time frame, I was already committed to Seacoast. I believe that total after everything is done will be around $5500. I did speak to Corey about a possible respray in the future

That's good to know about the rebuilt title. Didn't know that was possible! Gonna have to look into that.

As far as parts go, I added up the parts that the appraiser came up with, and subtracted the EG discount, and it came out to $2100.
