Did some stuff this weekend.
Mark front bolts to maintain alignment spec.
Struts on the legacy.
Anti-lift kit because a huge chunk was missing from one of my stock mounts.
Old ones didn't rebound.
Was a PITA and I broke my 16 dollar amazon spring compressor.
It's all back together. Slight issues are the front left clunks a little bit and the right rear clunks a lot. I'm not sure the top hats are seated correctly. I'm either going to tear it apart myself friday, or just outsource it friday because I need to get it aligned anyway after reinstalling the rear subframe.
We got no work in the mustang.
But friend with the white forester we did struts on and the blue legacy we did brakes on came over.
He said his rear diff was making noise and getting worse...
So he brings over his parts forester and says if we pull the diff and install it for him, we can keep the parts car. SCORE.
So we get the diff out quickly, and decide to drive the white forester before tearing into it.
Dad drives it and I'm in the pass seat. Turning my head I go "yeah, its not the diff, its coming from the left side"
We get the car in the air and there is a mile of play in the wheel bearing. WELP.
So his exhaust was also cracked so we booger welded that back up and sent him on his way to VIP to have a wheel bearing done because fudge that big ass bolt and fudge not having a press.
Going to part the green parts forester asap and scrap it in two weeks.
No engine, broken trans, now no rear diff. Driveshaft exploded. Rust. Shift linkages are all cookieed up. Exhaust is broken. It would take a lot to get it running again to sell it, so a quick part out will be more worth our time.
LOL:
I'm going to get spare axles, control arms, front knuckles (rear is drum), wiring, and ecu out of it.
The rest is in maine and up for grabs. Going to get rid of all I can in two weeks before mom kills me or my father for having "another LOVING car around".
