The Official MS Bike Talk Thread - motors need not apply

I may be up at Bradbury on Sunday if it's open. Currently the trails there are closed.

Otherwise i'll be hammering away on the Cape E/SoPo trails.

I'm out for riding tonite, it's Thursday which is babysittin' night for me.

Would love to do Bradbury, early, how early... Could be a good start to my day...
8ish? Maybe 7:30? We're house hunting, so I have to be done for open haus. SOPO cape is probably the safe bet. BBury could be hit or miss depending on what trails they open.

Are people still thinking of entering the race? If so, we may want to ride the course together beforehand. Next weekend?

Happy to host a preride next weekend. Pick a day!

Hangin in the hincley lot at 7:58 on sunday. Wondering if this will be a solo ride?!

you rode today. I did not think that anyone was going to show, so I did some laundry, made breakfast. Might have to head out this afternoon. Nice day

Yeah, it was wet out. A lot wetter after my swan dive off the plank bridge. Ran into MB and his 12 hour team in Robinson doing a practice your technique ride.

Anyone want a ride this week? S'posed to be nice-ish. I'm hoping for Bradbury, but am flexible. What night works for peeps?

Any night but tonite and Thursday. I'd like to hit bradbury but I think it's gonna be later in the week before it's open.

SoPo trails were extra greasy yesterday... quite a ride.

Roger that. Come on, Andrew - pull another hockey/biking double shift!
.
I am in. And yes it will be a double double shift. I am filling in this week. So Hockey, Tuesday , Wednesday and Friday. Throw in some biking, I will be beat. Especially since I have not biked in 2 weeks...

5:30? 6:00? What time works for people?
I can probably be there by 5:30, as long as I pack before I go to work. And I just might pick up some of the goo raisin. I rarely use any of those type products, I stick with beer, meat, potatoes, pizza, more beer, apples, bananas, cereal. :laughing1:

6p would be better for me... gives me enough time to get done with work and haul arse up there.

So my rear wheel was pooched on yesterday's ride. Rim was getting a little thin and I think I hit something (not that there are any roots or rocks on the Cape/SoPo trails) that just caused it to buckle in a bit. Oops. Dropped it off at Back Bay Bikes today for a rebuild and picked up a cheapie rear wheel as a hot spare.

If anyone is looking for replacement batteries for riding lights... http://www.batteryspace.com has 'em on the cheap. I picked up a new battery for my Niterider Classic Dual Beam for $85 and that comes w/ a new charger AND it's a NiMH battery vs. the old NiCAD pig. The Niterider replacement was $185 for just the battery! EEch! I'm goign to have to do some surgery on the connectors but that's no biggie. Probably going to have to get a new one for my Niterider HID light cuz on some charge/discharge runs this weekend it was only lasting about an hour. Might be tight!

Not going, looking at houses, cause that is the only day Suz has off. I am probably better off, the skate this morning was fast...

Anyone ups for Thursday? SoPo ride, Urban???
