Let's pencil in a River ride for Wednesday depending on weather and interest. Some of you other guys (Andrew?) in for that?
sounds like a plan, i do a ton or road riding during the week, and so far i haven't gone too crazy on it. the bike was kinda low end ($450) but i dealt with the same salespeople i have been since i was 12 so thye set me up as best they could on my budget at the time. i want to say the fork is an xcm or something, i don't have time to go look, but my last bike had rock shox and shimano deore components, and over the course of the 5 years i rode it daily i wore out almost everything (it was before i got my license) my intentions with this one are ride it till it breaks and upgrade whatever does break, but i've lost forks mid ride before and it wasn't fun. i may just save my pennies and put this fork on the womans bike since hers is siezed:idk:Ride it like you stole it!!
*****! Wife's birthday, and I totally forgot until this moment. Any chance we could do Tuesday instead?Let's pencil in a River ride for Wednesday depending on weather and interest. Some of you other guys (Andrew?) in for that?
How about Friday? Or come to the Rage ride?*****! Wife's birthday, and I totally forgot until this moment. Any chance we could do Tuesday instead?
Good idea. You might also see what you can find on ebay. New forks are pretty spendy!
I am, but it'll be more of a shakedown ride than a fitness/speed ride. I was planning to go find the trailhead where the Rage guys are going, or find the trailhead for the River trail. I've never ridden either, and I want to GPS both before the end of the summer.ON another note... anyone riding tonite?
I'm doing the Rage thing tonight, then hoping to take out a mellow/newbie ride tomorrow at the river. 530ish if anyone is interested.I am, but it'll be more of a shakedown ride than a fitness/speed ride. They were. Closed now tho. I am having my work done at Cyclemania in Portland- they have really good wrenches.Cape Able Bike Shop in Kennebunk, Maine is the best bike shop in the state.
Well, last year I was diagnosed with "exercise-induced asthma" - a condition that I didn't believe in, frankly. I think I had my first asthma attack about a quarter-mile in. I'm not sure, but it felt like someone was grabbing my throat, and it was impossible to get enough air to continue. I'm glad I had the inhaler thing with me, but I'd much rather have been spinning with everyone.Jimbo... That ride last night was a beast.
