Awesome dust cover! And yeah, im quite exited to finally shoot this thing. I bought my lower forever ago, just finally found some fundng

So, shot skeet today in waterford with my 870, after 20ish rounds it would periodically lock up so I couldn't rack the slide, one time I had to slam it on the ground butt end first to get it loose, and the extractor tore the rim on the case. Anyone have any idea what my issue may be?

das edit: got back to the friends house who we travelled with, and he saw some rust pitting in the chamber. a bit odd for such a new gun, but previous owner wasn't good at maintenance. took a 20ga bore brush wrapped in steel wool and polished it right up ( he'd just done the same to his ithaca) and now its fine, so maybe a new shorter barrel will be ordered from remington soon

Got an application for the local gun range yesterday, they have a small indoor range that I am hoping to use. But like most indoor ranges, no jacketed ammo. Anyone ever mess with shooting hardened lead ammo with a glock? Probably just use my .45 but would be nice to use the .40 too.

Typical old school thinking. They encourage jacketed ammo at Hampden. Capitol City required lead only indoors. Jacketed ammo actually is better indoors. Yeah, Glocks (and many others) have polygonal barrels. Lead and polygonal barrels dont perform well together.

However, there were a couple guys using Glocks and lead-only bullets when I was doing the indoor competitions at Capitol City. Just got to clean extra good I guess.

This weapon thing is a bad habit .. Just bought 4 p-mags a moe front hand guard moe handle and ordered a bi-pod that attaches to bayonett mount also getting a tactical charging handle and hand grip in mail .. Next is optics .

Its worth a google search for those things. For some reason lead only bullets are hard to come by especially in winter. I could only find Ultramax reloads at Dicks which work very well despite being over lubed and kind of grubby. If I had a Glock I'd get another barrel and have one dedicated to indoor/lead only. Although, polygonal barrels are a lot easier to clean than regular rifling.
