Yeah, most places you need to be a member unless you're shooting one of their matches like skeet, or cowboy, or 3 gun. Sometimes they have open shoot days for non-members but you'll have to call or check their web site to find out when.

yeah, I'm not far from Standish myself. Private place or friend's place or the powerlines? You don't have to say if you don't want to. I shoot my 9mm and .22 at home or the powerlines near my house depending on volume. Bigger stuff I go to the public range in Fryeburg. Courteous to my neighbors.

Good Lord. A 1911 cocked and lock, and stuck in his belt? Interesting. I've always liked watching his videos. But that quite possibly was the stupidest thing I've seen him do.

Cocked and locked in a proper holster is one thing but just stuck in his belt is another. I know people who carry their 1911 cocked and locked, also someone with a Sig Sauer P238 cocked and locked. The people I know who carry this way have proper holsters.

 
You are 100% correct that a 1911 is meant to be carried condition 1 (cocked and locked). But its meant to be carried in a holster. Not stuck in a belt. His Springfield TRP has about a 3lbs single action trigger. Its not a Glock with a 5-6lbs two stage (stricker fired) trigger. Even that I wouldn't carry just stuck in my belt without the trigger covered. just plain dumb.

 
that looked to me like a scant belt slide holster type rig. but I was watching on the droid. and nate, where'd you get the holster I got with the lc9? wanna get one for the sr9

 
Went out and bought my first handgun friday. Went into howells with 450, and walked out with a new s&w sd40 and 100 rounds of blazer 150? Or 160 gr. Fmj. I was stoked, ended up getting 29.95 off the rounds

bearpaw guy is real nice. Already shot all but a bedside clip through it saturday, along with the gf (who was a trooper, it was cold and we were in a pit) and my buddy with his draco ak pistol. Everything went smoothly, as one would expect with a s&w product. Pistol fits well in my hand, and if it hadnt of been so cold out I d efinitely would of been down to shoot another hundred (or two) rounds. Got the hang of taking ot down and putting it back together, its real easy.

Im quite happy with my purchase, and anxious to put some more rounds through it. Next time will be with a variety of ammos and weights.

Idk, I dont wanna sound like the one tard here... But I wasnt aware there was a difference/ it mattered
