Awesome. You're such a Mainer

.Curious to see what the tail light guards look like. And that reminds me, I gotta get some POR-15 for my light bar.
I make crap up as I go along. So no idea what the tail light guards will look like. Whatever the shop has in stock, probably. heh.

And I'm a mainer? hmm. I've only lived here 6 years or something like that. I didn't even live in the US before that..

I know, but your uncanny ability to build a metal bumper for your lifted vehicle earns you the "Up Nowth Seal of Approval."

Looks pretty good. Did you just use the stock mounting spots? And yeah a little piece that wraps around the edges will be nice!!! And your welds look good!!

Thanks! Yea, I did use the stock mounting points. I might weld up something stronger in the future. I'll see.

I still have to find POR15, I can't seem to find any in town. grr

Just curious, how strong and rigid is it using the stock mounting spots?? I know the old ones the bumper slid up into the frame rails like my Brat, but yours has the bolts through the rear.

I was wondering the same thing. Looks good for a bumper, but where you have a tow hitch welded to it I hope before you load anything on that your hooked to something solid and not just sheet metal.

Looks good. Some POR15 will clean it up nice. Make sure you get the kind that itsn't broken down by sunlight. Only place I've seen it for sale is on their website, they might have a distributors page on there.

There is more than sheet metal there, and it's most likely pretty strong, but it wouldn't hurt to run some reinforcement down to the tow hooks

Yea, as bratman said, there's quite a bit of structure it's bolted in to. I did think about running a piece of metal down and bolting it into where the tow hooks bolt into the frame. That's a good idea, and would definitely strengthen it considerably.

And yes, I used good bolts!

Thanks for the info, nowhere seemed to know what I was talking about.

You can take a look at my Brat and see how I did mine. You could do something similar. You should come over at some point, and bring RC car too if it's ready LOL

I really wish I had my camera when I was out on this job

So all I have is my crappy cell pic, but it's still awesome.
