das GL!

I have the new part! Tomorrow I will prep it. Then I need to get the heavy artillery out to get the control arms off the old tube. Put it all back together, and re-do my brake lines.

I wanted to get the lines off on the inside because it would make it soooo much easier than last time when I did the wheel bearings. So I ended up cutting the lines because the nuts wouldn't loosen. Re-flaring the line is going to be easier than the last retarded way I did it.

Then I'll just need to weld a hole in my midpipe and put the exhaust mess back together. Should be good for a sticker! Front axles, redrilled wheels and some tires and I'll be ready for dirt drives.

You really should make a straight pipe for it. So here's the big questions, is going to make to the eg meet? I have an award with your name on it

I really wish I could make the EG meet, but I moved POOP from last sunday to this one so I could make the meet. No changing back now

It's totally getting a straight pipe. I love the sound it makes. When it has 4 wheels again I'm gonna take it up and down to road like that to warm it up so I can give it a nice rev and see what it sounds like.

Awesome Chris. Glad he was able to hook you up!! I bet you're excited to get it back on the road!!

Yep, I have my eye on a tube front bumper he has. It was in a crash, so it's a little bent up, so probably let it go cheap.

Nice!! What was it on? I still have my old factory Brat push bar up there too! Maybe that could be made to work?

He made it for someone, who then crashed it into a tree. Just needs a new tube bent, and welded on. Then some sawzall work on the front of my car. And more welding. It would be wicked awesome. Would give me much better approach angle.

First coat of undercoat is drying on the frame now.

My trailing arms didn't come off without a serious crazy fight which destroyed the bushings. I either need to drive back up to Ben's and get control arms, or I have to order new bushings. I need this done asap because a new full time job found me. Hopefully starting mid next week..

I wonder of you can even get the bushings? Hopefully you find something!!
Called bath subaru. They're effing useless. He had no idea what I was talking about. A loy-what-ale??

EG can have the bushings by Tuesday. I said I needed trailing arm bushings and it took all of about 18.9 seconds to find that on the computer. $58 each, so eff that. I'll just get trailing arms from Ben.

There was no way to get it apart without destroying the bushings, it's a big huge rust ball where the bolt goes through the metal sleeve. No way in hell.

Yeah that's a bit expensive! And yes, Bath Subaru is useless. I hate going there. But I'm sure Ben can hook you up. And tell him I said hi again when you go up

I could have taken them with the tube... I just assumed I hadn't tried hard enough getting that bolt out. Maybe with oxy/ace and air hammer I could have saved it.

So ya, not a big deal to just grab those arms.

I figure since I'll be at your place tomorrow I'll just make a run up there at some point. It's a long-DONKEY way from my house to him.

So I have the new tube stripped down, and coated with a few coats. It looks nice. I should do the same to the rest of the rear end. I still have to flare my rear brake lines and put them back together. I had to cut the lines to get them apart. The inside end at the calipers would come apart, but I wanted the car end apart because it's less of a hassle that way.

Now to get a sticker I just need to replace the other front fender, weld hole over I put in the trunk, and weld up a hole in my exhaust.

I can't wait to get out wheelin'!!! We'll have to meet up and out-wheel dan's jeep one of these days!

And still on the lookout for a whole legacy parts car to get wiring POOP from to do the EJ22 swap. Ben actually has an adapter plate, doesn't want to sell it though. He does have an SS sitting in the woods... Swap that motor in the legacy

turbo 2nd gen would be awesome.

Wow he has an adapter plate? Where did he get that? You could just trace it!!!! Make it a lot easier!

Any luck with this today Did you get the trailing arms?
I ended up not having any time today. Nor tomorrow, probably not Tuesday or Wednesday either. Thursday I have a meeting in the middle of the day.... I need to just say eff it about something and drive up.

That sucks. This weather sucks too!!! Hopefully you can get to it soon. And like I said, let me know if you need a hand!
