Mini Group Drive

Guys, I just Text messaged Dan (RangleyRallyDG). He was un-aware of this thread. He lives in Rangeley and knows this area well. We will try to get together on this and maybe provide some suggestions for the route plan. I know some nice back roads from Auburn to the wilton area if we end up going toward the Weld - Madrid area. I can already think of a few damn good routes to keep us off Rt.4. Perhaps we can even test a few of the dirt roads in question before settling on a final plan. Sound good? Maybe, if your lucky, I can provide photos of the road conditions.

yeah we could put togeather a sweet run mayb through rangeley? and back to auburn

I was just thinking of the exploring aspect. I know the Reeds mill rd. in Madrid appears to be long I'm not sure if it is all dirt. Then there is the Byron Rd. over toward Weld.

Reeds Mill is fresh pavment:D a good road for sure!

Sweet, bring your ideas on route info next Wednesday. As long as there is a leader who knows where to go and the group can get back to Lewiston/Auburn by 6pm its all good!

rangeleyrally_dg; Do you want to be added to the group roster?

I just realized I may be busy...

I'll keep double checking, but I'm going to be a probably-not on attendance.

sure im up for the ride but i realy think we should think about going up rt4 to rangeley and back down rt17

that's exactly the time frame we are looking for! Thanks Dan and...Dan:D This route has my vote; I've never been to that part of Maine before.

On a side note: Right now the forecast is calling for rain on the 25th. Obviously this is not worth taking seriously being seven days out, but I wanted to mention this is an any-weather event. Rain, snow, sunshine, rainbows...its all fair game. Mother Nature can bite me.

i have to work at 4 in Farmington, but maybe i could jump in in wilton ride to rangley and just leave early? what time do you plan on starting this convoy?

We're meeting up at the Auburn park and ride at noon and leaving shortly after...still not completely sure on which direction we are heading though.

So many choices, I wonder if we can actually throw the Byron road in to the route and keep the time frame? I will have to check.

You're right Ryan there are a lot of choices. that's why I want to make it a choice for everyone when we meet. Hopefully we can all agree on something that makes everyone happy! The thing is that if there is a good route that we don't end up taking next week, we can hit that one up next time! I don't see why we can't have a small group ride once a month!

Good thinking Mike, maybe we can. I can certainly see us doing this more than once anyway, and probably regularly!

Ugh. Just did some budget checking after a visit to the Doctors office... Grrr, Im gonna have to wait on the RA UR flaps until after this mini group drive:(. Thought I could do it time but oh well. I will go on the drive anyway, I just gotta be a lil more careful if we go on dirt. At least I got my blizzaks and rims in time, ought to be a real blast.

I have RA's.

OEM ='d rooster tails of gunk down both sides of the STi, always.

Added RA's = Clean sides, no chips, FTW!

So this is the day before Thanksgiving, right?

Too bad about the flaps Ryan, but you'll be alright.

The date is the 25th, so yeah, the day before Thanksgiving....less than one week!
