Nate's OBS: Out Front

Needs more sideways and countersteer

Yeah I know, but the counter steer was all happening farther around the turn. I can't get "fully" sideways until about half way through the turn. I wish there had been more room.

you can actually test your brake fluid by measuring the copper content similar to how you test coolant ph/reserve alkalinity and boiling/freezing point....they say a high copper content can actually effect your braking ability and should be flushed every 50-60k.....

ive seen high acid coolant actually eat the propeller off the water pump in a few jeeps before...we have displayed for viewing pleasure

Interesting, I didn't know that. Why would it have high copper content though? I thought the main thing that killed brake fluid was getting water in it, and getting burned. Does some chemical reaction cause copper to form?

I think subaru says to change the brake fluid every year, or something. I usually flush mine once a year, it's easy, and helps keep rust and crap out of the system.

I recently had a rear caliper on my legacy partially seize up, it was just full of rust and crap. Cleaned it out and it's working fine now! A good testament that flushing your brakes does help the system live longer.

there are corrosion inhibators built into brake fluids that prevent break down of the fluid. when those inhibitors break down along with water content, heat, and break down of the lines themselves build the copper content which can lead to other failures like master cylinders and abs parts, etc....its one of those maint. items that people really dont know a lot about. At the shop weve got a tool thatll flush the fluid for you, just hook up the adaptor for the cap, open the bleeders and crank it up, just flush until clean fluid comes out....

Also, if you overcook your brakes a lot, that heat really degrades the fluid. Clear fluid turns to coffee color..... Not that I'd know or anything

i like coffee.....coming down that steep grade today made my brakes angry....and all the brake checks made my pedal fade....time for the wrx upgrade!!!!

Finally installed the short ram intake that Lobstah gave me (spinmaster-T's N/A CAI hacked up when he went turbo). Had to hold the wiper fluid reservoir out of the way to get to one of the hoses that I had to replace/extent. Ended up cutting myself a bunch down in there.

I feel like such a ricer for having a chrome pipe in my engine bay, lmao.

Also added a second cargo net, in the middle-ish of my trunk. Its from my dad's Murano so its way too big, I may end up buying another Forester net so it'll fit better.

I also really want to buy Lobstah's rear disc brake setup...

theres nothing wrong with a little chrome nate....i still have those underglow lights if you want them!!!

I would totally rock them just because they're funny.

Speaking of which, I still need to buy that map light that Mark picked up for me...

Looks good. Diggin' the white stealies. I wish my RS was running because I'd be hooning it like a retard tonight.

Instead I get to learn how the LGT handles with POOP tires.

Not normally. Mom is staying at work because the roads she needs to take to get home don't get plowed much.

Woooo, ordered spark plugs and wires from EG
