SpinmasterT's 2.2l turbo swap

Hmm... didn't consider that the ECU may know the system is flooded and therefor not delivering fuel. Good call.

Until some diagnostic proceedures are followed, it's all speculation. I like electrical diag. When you nail it, it's like, "there, you grandma!" It'd have been running last night if they didn't go home so damn early.

I just confirmed something I thought. If you don't have fire, the fuel pump won't kick on.

We gotta figure out the spark problem first.

coal miner joel was waist deep into the dash when i showed up and before he left we had it running and now there is a puddle of tranny fluid the size of the car underneath.now to tie up all the loose end it should be at the meet on on thursday >

IT"S ALIVE! It was either a faulty ignitor or, it was wired internally different from the Turbo car. The Impreza ignitor was still hooked up and wouldn't fire the coil. After a TON of wiring traces, Spin and Mobstahs harness fabrication was spot on.(nice work guys) It was traced to the ignitor. Nice work by all, it was quite a team effort.

Still got a ways to go for Thursday, dontcha Spin!

that's the spirit! I'll bring the wire loom up at some point, or if you see my car in the yard, stop in.

No, took it for a cruise around the neighorhood first ... it's not running so well ..

Rough idle until I fixed the 'trans ID' wire from the ECU, now it's a bit better.

Won't shift out of second, unless I put it into '1' position.

Exhaust needs to be lengthened about 4" to fit.

It wants to stall when I turn the wheel to say, back into the driveway, and feels like it's rubbing on something, like it doesn't want to move so much ...

If I didn't have finals and raisin coming up, I'd probably be there today too

Don't even try to diag the driveability problems until the exhaust is hooked up. No muffler can make it run funny. Once you've got the exhuast ready, drive it down to my house. I'll figure it out. I do much better work in my own domain.
