The Eric Benson Memorial Dirt Drive - November 28th

Snow tires and wheels installed, factory spare 215/60/R16 in factory location if anyone needs it. Extra spare that matches the snows (size) strapped in the cargo area, 2 radios with fresh batteries, a well used tow strap, food and drink, itunes, camera and video, and most importantly: The Trunkmonkey weight distribution device.

Oh yeah, my co-pilot can come too...

I'm ready! 588 miles and counting...

Anyone know off the top of their heads if the a set of oem 15" wheels (and matched set of studded tires, 205/70-15) from a '99 Outback will fit/work with a 2004 WRX wagon? (I have a set of studded winters for the Outback lying around, Unfortunately the Outback itself won't be...)

Thanks

I just got home. I called it a day after 3rd stage and drove back on route 9 frome princeton to holden (73 miles). I think I had 110 on odo after 3 stages. I had a lot of fun. Was tricky with crappy allseasons ans lots of snow and ice with no codriver. Hope you all faired well in the dark fo final 2 legs. I had fun. Definately would do again.

that would've/should've have been something I would have done...

knowing you went , no codrive... I should have gone no codrive. I red the posts this morning and realized I could have met the start time... One of the reasons I did not go was no co drive.I drove a quick ride though some slop out that way and knew I would have had no problems...not gonna kick myself over it. there was some serious issues to be chancing a fun ride through bad roads...buggy is 24 years this december.

I did real good considering I had all seasons. My car has a lot higher boundaries than I thought.

I left when we pulled into Lincoln. Dropped off my co-driver at his house, and drove 30 miles north back to my house.

If it was summer, I would have went all the way, but I have bad night vision and decided to call it quits.

My god, what a drive! Had a lot of fun, roads were amazing, snow made it better. Glad everyone made it okay, well except for the fozzy. JUST SO EVERYONE KNOWS, I DIDNT CRASH MY CAR, MY CO-DRIVER DID. DONT LET YOUR CO-DRIVER DRIVE!

Well the whole drive was pretty icey/snowey so it was very easy to go off the road. I switched with my co driver at one point at he was driving for about 5min before he came around a corner too hot and over corrected twice, putting us into a small tree. No damage and we kept on driving.(sfter switching out drivers of course). The forester was inski's old one and it seized up when we were on route to Lincoln.

uh....the red forester...cant remember the name...he is from southern maine...blew his motor just north of Lincoln. it started ticking....then started losing power...then it went boom.. Rallikid and i had to flat strap tow him about 6 miles into town, he had local relatives to help him. so he isn't stranded.
