Anyone want to ride Bradbury tomorrow around 5-5:30p?
Hey Jim! Any chance you'd let me borrow the swanky new GPS to map the Parsonsfield trails some weekend? They are unmarked but fairly sweet.singletracks.com has some ul/dl options, but I haven't paid for a membership, so I don't know what the full capabilities are. MTBR will let you upload .gpx files as well, although you do have to be logged in (registration is free.)
I've been playing with importing the info to Google Earth. Yes, you have to pay $20/year to enable the "plus" features, which include the ability to import Garmin and Magellan GPS data straight from the device. It produces a neato track overlay right on the map, and you can "fly" through your ride.
Most definitely! They're pretty funI would, but would also be interested in riding 'em with you...if schedule permits. If it don't, then you can use it.
Well, they are cryptically hidden by Backcountry Excursions. Hence the need for GPS'nWhere are these trails. Not like I can ride anytime soon, but for future reference.
Yeah, so instead of charging like, $10 and give you a map, they charge like $50 and make you go with a "guide".Well, they are cryptically hidden by Backcountry Excursions. Hence the need for GPS'nWhere are these trails. Not like I can ride anytime soon, but for future reference.
I think you have two confused. The Pownell trails that link Bradbury to Pineland are still being negotiated, and should be off limitsRide tonight? I'd love to - but can't. Gotta finish my dicked-up gutter install, or I'll be divorced by the weekend.
Parsonsfield trails? Those are the trails that Friends of Bradbury/Portland Trails/whoever want to link with Bradbury? Backcountry doesn't own the property, right? I'm just wondering if we'd piss anyone off by riding there.
Well, I just looked at the area, and now I am less clear:I was confused - thanks for straightening me out. So, define this "parkland" that you speak of. And Cliffie - he's the owner of the company, or the land, or both?
