$1800?! You can get a new Gary Fisher Paragon 29er for $2k.

I like that comment... 69er is the new Biopace... hahaa! The laps at Big Bear were just short of 14mi with just over 1600ft of climbing. Ugh.

So when are we riding?

I think the weather is supposed to be crappy. I'm out for Saturday but might be able to do Sunday early AM (like 6:30am). I have a wood stove dude coming out on Sat AM to give me some options & an estimate for putting a stove in.

anyone have a rigid fork w/ disc tabs & 1 1/8" steerer laying around??

I might be down with a 6:30 ride. I will know more Saturday..

This is the best time of year for early morning rides. I've gone out on the road a couple times at like 5:10am. I'm back by 7a either before or just after everyone has awakened. Hardest part is getting up at that time.

I think I say "I will get up at 5 and ride for 1-1.5 hours" about 5 times a week. I have yet to do it. Maybe tomorrow. cough cough yeah right.

Rain rain go away...

but on a drier note...

my 29er wheel is on it's way... 69er here I come... I'm hoping that running a tubeless 2.25" tire on a rigid carbon fork will have some shock absorbing qualities...

Lets just go mudding......

Coincidentally I'm selling a beginner Cannondale. Bought it last summer with the drive to start riding, blew out my knee, haven't had the time or drive this season. Cannondale f7 Large size frame. Blue. Check out the specs, it's a nice basic bike. bought it new for 500, asking 400 on craigslist. here's the link.

$350 if you're interested tim. IMO a good place to start if you haven't started anywhere before. obviously there's a lot of experts on here that might have some good advice as well.

That's a nice ride- I used to have a F9. GLWS!

yeah, it's nothing you're going to thrash, but it should get you down the trails you need. for the money it's hard to get anything better

What's the Cannondale sizing in inches? Large is probably around a 19"? I looked around online and couldn't easily find any sizing.

I have a buddy who's looking for a bike... He probably needs about an 18" frame.
